Swiss Medical Students Convention

The Swiss Medical Students’ Convention is a national gathering that takes place twice a year, bringing together future and current healthcare professionals from all over Switzerland. From October 17th to 19th, 2025, the city of Fribourg will become the heart of this vibrant exchange, as it hosts the upcoming SMSC. Organized by the Swiss Medical Students’ Association in collaboration with an enthusiastic team of local students, the convention will offer around 400 participants a unique opportunity to learn, connect, and grow through a rich program of lectures, workshops, and social events.
Through this convention, we will explore the evolving landscape and the revolutions of longevity, with the objective of providing insight into questions around not just life expectancy but quality of life. It being a multifaceted topic, that encompasses a variety of dimensions, from global health to cross-cultural nutrition and age-related patterns of disease, the convention sets out to examine and illustrate those dimensions in a tangible manner. We will more specifically discuss key determinants and aspects of those dimensions to further their understanding by conveying both practical and theoretical knowledge.
